Aug 31, 1942 - Dec 5, 2012 MOORE Garnet Wade Crane, age 70, died December 5th at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Oklahoma City, OK. Wade Crane is survived by his mother, Nadine Terrell; and his two children, Barrett Crane and Susan Parks. He also leaves behind four grandchildren, Tyler Crane, Susanna Crane, Whitney Parks, and Morgan Parks. He was preceded in death by his wife, Susan Crane. Wade is a veteran of the Vietnam War, where he served for 10 years as an aircraft mechanic for the United States Marines. He grew up in Oklahoma, where he returned to raise his family after leaving the military. As a young man, Wade had a passion for cars. He secured his first job at the age of 14 working at a local gas station and garage. He saved his money and bought a 49 Ford Coupe, and at the age of 15, he replaced the engine and transmission, preparing his prized possession for the open roads of his time. He spent his life as a small business owner managing an automotive repair facility and was in business for 30 years. Wade's only hobby was spending time with his family. If he wasn't at work, you could be sure that he was with his family. Through life, he was a fairly quiet man. However, that changed once he got to know someone. He loved a good joke and to tell stories. He would commonly recall his days of youth and time served in the military. He will be deeply missed. Services will be held on Friday, December 21st at 3 p.m. at Ford Funeral Service.
