WhiteJune 23, 1924 - Nov. 2, 2013 OKLAHOMA CITY Hazel Jenalee Staats White, age 89, passed away peacefully on November 2nd in Oklahoma City, OK. She was born on June 23, 1924 in Harper County, near Ft. Supply, Oklahoma. She worked in the TG&Y corporate offices and then worked many years as a civilian employee at Tinker AFB. After raising their family in Choctaw and retiring as a civil service employee she and her husband Louis moved to Kingston, Okla. where they fished, cared for neighbors and worked in Bev's Diner. They retired once again, moved to Harrah to help their daughter with The Harrah News. She is remembered for her wit and her devotion to her family. She was preceded in death by her husband Louis Edward White; her parents Gasper Gordon and Mary Jane Casteel Staats; brothers Harold Ivan, Forest Leo, George Virtes and Harley Maurice Staats; sister Emma Jaunita Staats Lehman; and grandson Grant Edward White. She is survived by a brother Merle Staats, Liberal, KS, sister Wilma Thiele, Colby, KS, daughter Shirley and son-in-law John Quaid, Humble, TX, son Edward and daughter-in-law Flossy White, Columbia, MO, son Marvin White, Oklahoma City, OK and daughter Mary and son-in-law Sam Morgan, Albuquerque, NM. Also surviving are granddaughters Kristin Griffin, Spring, TX, Shelby Powell, Albuquerque, NM, granddaughter Julie Handrich, Fairland, OK and grandsons, Tony Griffin, Kingwood, TX, Justin White, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, Adam Griffin, Oklahoma City, OK, Darrell White, Mesa, AZ, Nolan White, Tweed Heads, New South Wales, Australia, Trevor White, Kansas City, MO, Travis Powell, Albuquerque, NM, Christopher White, Oklahoma City, OK, and grandson Will Quaid, Jacksonville Beach, FL, 13 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren. Viewing will be held 5:00-7:00pm on Wednesday, Nov. 6, at John M. Ireland Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held 1:00 pm Thursday, Nov. 7, at United Methodist Church, Moore, OK.
