January 8, 1933 - July 4, 2014 BETHANY Jack Ronald Crites was born January 8, 1933 to William Irvin and Anna Lou Crites in Oklahoma City, OK. Jack passed away on July 4, 2014 surrounded by his family at his home in Bethany, OK. Words and phrases to describe Jack seem to be easy to find and many. However, a few seem to rise quickly to the top. Jack was fun loving and a man of integrity. When Jack attended any social gathering he was the life of the party. He loved spending time at the lake, or enjoying a round of poker many years ago with the guys at the local union hall. He was always in for a good laugh and a wonderful friend to all. He was incredibly handy and could fix or build most anything. Jack was an outstanding electrician and devoted member of the IBEW 1141 Local Union throughout his life. Jack was very proud of his service to his country through his time in the United States Marine Corp. Jack was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters, and one grandson. He is survived by his brother, James R. Crites; four children, Christi Crites Bennett, Kelly Sperry, Jack R. Crites, Jr. and Nancy Nicholson; three grandchildren, six great grandchildren and two sons-in-law.Come-and-go visitation will be from 12-8pm on Thursday at Crawford Family Funeral Service, Edmond.
