I worked with Jay for many years at Firestone. I think you have described him perfectly! Such a gentleman and such a gentle man. He was always dressed immaculately and always smelled heavenly! He talked a lot about his beautiful Zoe and his wonderful Connie and Peggy. I am so sorry for your loss. Cathi Schultz Gudell

Jay was one of few true gentlemen we knew. He will be greatly missed by his fellow members of Immanuel Lutheran Church. He was kind, devoted, loyal and the best dressed man in church. Jay set the bar high and I don't know of another man who comes close to his exceptional standards. Zoe and Jay were such a beautiful couple in every way. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family during this time of great sorrow.
Hold thou thy cross before my closing eyes,
the darkness deepens, Lord with me abide,
Heaven's morning breaks and earth's vain shadows flee,
In life, in death, O Lord, abide with me.
