John Paul Adams, 74, passed away on November 19, 2007 in Oklahoma City. He was born January 9, 1933 in Bloomington, Illinois to E.C. and Rose (Cottingham) Adams. John devoted his life to his business. He was a pioneer in the bulk vending business. John was the proud owner of Diamond Vending & Supply Company. He started it with just one vending machine and built it into a worldwide company. John was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers. He is survived by his wife of 12 years, Susan Adams; son, Rodney Adams; daughter, Paula Porter and her husband Michael; grandchildren, Beth DeLeon, Matthew Adams and Rachel Adams; and great-grandchildren, Taylor Kinney, Brandon Kinney, Alicia DeLeon and Deanna DeLeon. Services for John will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 21, 2007, in the Chapel Hill Funeral Home Chapel with interment following in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
