July 3, 1963 - Nov 25, 2013 EDMOND Julie Lee Monteith was born July 3, 1963, on her dad's birthday and shared his middle name. She was born in Oklahoma City, the oldest of three children, to Monty and Pat Monteith. Julie attended Putnam City West and Oklahoma State University, graduating as a registered nurse. She worked many years in home health and oncology. Julie had lots of compassion for her patients. If they did not have a family, she was always taking them meals, especially around holidays. Julie is survived by her parents, of Edmond, OK; brother, Doug Monteith, Chicago, IL; sister, Meridith Phillips and husband Carl, Edmond, OK; and a large family of aunts, uncles, cousins, and great aunts. Julie had a huge heart and is loved and missed by many. Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, December 2, 2013, at Crawford Family Funeral Service, 610 NW 178th St., Edmond, OK. Come-and-go visitation will be 1-6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Oklahoma Baptist Homes for Children (Boys Ranch Town) or Crisis Pregnancy Center.
