May 8, 1930 - January 29, 2013 OKLAHOMA CITY Kenneth O. Pointer passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, January 29, 2013. He was 82 years old. He was born on May 8, 1930 in Linn, MO to parents William and Geneva Pointer. Kenneth served in the Air Force during the Korean Conflict and was a 50 year Mason. He most recently belonged to the Legion of Honor at the India Shrine Temple in Oklahoma City. He w as a member of the Church of the Servant United Methodist Church.He married the love of his life, Peggy (Crum) Pointer on September 18, 1965. He is preceded in death by his parents, William and Geneva Pointer and a grandson, Jeremy Schimmels.He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years Peggy Pointer of Oklahoma City, his son and daughter-in-law Joseph and Christi Pointer of Oklahoma City, his daughter and son-in-law Chrisa and Chuck Schimmels of Edmond, Oklahoma and 8 grandchildren. Kenneth was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by his family.A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 2nd, at 11:00 am in the Chapel at the Church of the Servant United Methodist Church 14343 N. MacArthur Blvd., Oklahoma City, OK. Flowers can be sent to the church.In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the India Shrine Temple Transportation Fund or Valir Hospice.
