Larry Carl Ives, born 23 June 1954 in OKC to Charles and Christine (Ashford) Ives, died 30 January 2010, at age 55. Larry attended Classen High School and OSU-OKC. He proudly joined the USMC prior to HS graduation. He served as an Aircraft Electronic technician in the Marines, as well as at Tinker AFB. He owned his own masonry and welding businesses. Larry could fix almost anything mechanical or electronic. Larry was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Sam and Ethel Ashford of Antlers; beloved grandmother, Helen Ives of OKC; his father, Charles; and son, Joshua. Survivors include his mother, Christine Ives of Antlers; sister, Linda Bias of Choctaw; only daughter, Crista of Dallas; and two grandsons, Steven and Robert Hudson of Duncan, Oklahoma. Larry was a talented musician and could play almost any instrument by ear; he loved to read, work crossword puzzles, crochet blankets, loved to tell jokes and stories, and was a loyal friend to those he liked. He was an expert marksman and loved to hunt and fish. His dream was to retire to the family farm at Antlers and live among the peace and tranquility of Pushmataha County.Funeral services for Larry will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, February 3, 2010, at Mills & Coffey Chapel in Antlers, Oklahoma, with interment following at Antlers City Cemetery.
