MICHAEL JOHNSON

Aug 5, 1939 - June 24, 2014 EDMOND Michael Charles Johnson was born on August 5, 1939, to Charles and Yovene (Criswell) Johnson in Wewoka, OK. At the age of 3, Michael and his family moved to Edmond, OK. Upon graduation from Edmond in 1956, he attended Georgetown University and finished his degree at the University of Oklahoma. He was a member of the Army ROTC at the University of Oklahoma. Michael was stationed in various bases in the United States as well as Germany. After serving in the U.S. Army for several years, he attended Harvard University, where he received his Juris Doctorate and MBA at the same time. Michael went on to join the law department of a large international bank and was transferred to Brazil for six years, from where he proceeded to open numerous branches in South America. Michael enjoyed spending time with his horses as well as sports, especially basketball. His joy and passion was his family, and he cherished them dearly. Michael leaves behind his beloved wife of almost 52 years, Hilde; daughter, Karin McCrea and her husband Bruce; daughter, Alexandra Kantlehner; grandchildren, Kyra, John, and Maria; as well as other family and friends. Funeral services for Michael will be held at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Edmond Monday, June 30, 2014, at 10 a.m. The family has requested, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic School, P.O. Box 590, Edmond, OK 73083.
