Sept 14, 1941 - Feb 8, 2014 CHOCTAW Shirley Jean Johnson, 72-year-old resident of Choctaw, OK, passed away February 8, 2014, at her home. Born Sept. 14, 1941, in Red Oak, OK, she was the daughter of Edna & Winfield Willcox. She was a graduate of Choctaw High School and married Granville Dee Johnson on Sept. 4, 1959 in McLoud, OK. Shirley was co-owner of Dee Johnson Pools, Inc. from 1978 to the present. Shirley was an avid OU Sooner fan and was a co-owner of season tickets for over 35 years. She loved following Sooner athletics while proudly wearing crimson and cream. She loved International travel with Dee and never left her golf clubs behind. She loved the outdoors and enjoyed long daily walks, golfing, bird-watching and tending to her flowers. Shirley belonged to the Shawnee Country Club, Choctaw Golf Assoc., and was a founding member of the Choctaw Women's Golf Club. Survivors include her husband, Dee Johnson, of the home; two children, Todd and wife Teena Johnson and Shelly and husband Robert Rudin; three grandchildren, Amanda Qualls and her fiance Lewis Lindenberg, Austin Qualls, and Macy Qualls; one step-grandson, Ryan Rudin; and her pet Maltipoo, "Noodles," who was her constant companion and best friend. A visitation will be held at Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home on Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2014, at 4-7 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2014, at Arlington Memory Gardens Mausoleum Chapel, with burial following in Arlington Memory Gardens, Midwest City, OK.
