Aug. 23, 1930 - Feb. 25, 2013 OKLAHOMA CITY Vera Jean Tidwell Linville, 82, passed away Feb. 25, 2013. She was born in Honodia, OK to Henry Moses and Sena Leigh Tidwell, the 5th of 7 children. Vera graduated from Smithville High School, Smithville, OK in May 1948. She married Buiel Hoyt Linville, July 9, 1948 in Mena, AR. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Buiel, and one sister Lillian Warren and son-in-law Kenneth Miller. She is survived by 2 daughters Linda Miller, Connie Floyd and husband Chris, all of OKC; grandson Dave Grogan and wife Michelle of Norman, OK; granddaughter Kdie Nix and husband Jason of Edmond, OK; 4 great grandchildren Timothy, Matthew and Katelyn Nix, and Isabella Grogan; sister Lerah Warren of Irving, TX; 4 brothers Edward Tidwell and wife Freddie of Mabank, TX, Curtis Tidwell and wife Ava of OKC, Bud Tidwell and wife Mary Lee of Kingston, OK, and Bill Tidwell and wife Barbara of San Antonio, TX; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins, along with her church family and many friends. She retired from Wilson Foods after 36 years of service. She enjoyed bowling in a couple's league with her husband and Bud and Mary Lee, and later with her two daughters in a ladies league. She was an avid O.U. fan and a season football ticket holder for the past 43 years. She enjoyed working in her flower gardens. Vera has been an active member of Wilmont Place Baptist Church for over 20 years. Viewing will be today from 4-8 PM at the funeral home.
