July 23, 1948 - June 7, 2012 OKLAHOMA CITY Jack Kent Kirk, 63, went to be with the Lord on June 7, 2012, surrounded by his loving family at home in Edmond, OK. He attended Oklahoma State University and graduated from Wesleyan Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas. He practiced anesthesia for 37 years. Jack's life would seem too short to many, but those who were touched by him understood that the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives. Jack was a devoted Christian, husband, and father. He enjoyed endless summer days on Grand Lake with his family. Jack is survived by his spouse of 29 years, Tena; his children, Forrest, Chelsea and Shelby; his mother, Ruby Kirk; brothers and their spouses, Gail and Darlene Kirk, Larry and Karen Kirk. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 12, 2012, at Crossings Community Chapel, 14600 N. Portland Avenue, Oklahoma City, with a graveside service to follow at 5 p.m. in Tipton, OK.
