October 31, 1916 - January 15, 2013 OKLAHOMA CITY Levern Meriwether, 96, passed away Tuesday, January 15, 2013, in Oklahoma City, OK. She was married to Norman Meriwether for 54 years. Levern and Norman owned and operated The House of Clay in Oklahoma City since 1950. Levern worked at the shop, lived at home, and drove her car until the last year of her life. She was active in her church, Northwest Baptist, for many years and gave generously to the church and several charities. She is survived by a sister, Mary Lou Herring; daughters, Judith Wagenseller and Norma Newton & husband Phillip; three granddaughters, Melody Black & husband Jason, Christine Newton, and Hattie Wagenseller; and great-grandchildren, Hattie Colvert, Jordan and Brinker Black. Guests are welcome to visit with the family for the viewing on Sunday, January 20, from 2:00 to 4:00 pm at Hahn Cook/Street & Draper, 6600 Broadway Extension, Oklahoma City.
