HERMAN TROUTMAN Obituary
Feb 18, 1926 - Sept 27, 2013 MIDWEST CITY Herman Olmas Troutman, son of William and Velma Troutman, passed away on September 27, 2013, at his home. He was born February 18, 1926, at the site of the Olmas Dam in Camp Forest, San Antonio, TX, where employees on the project and their families were housed. He broke a pair of 10-pound capacity scales when his father tried to weigh him. Herman has lived in the same house in Midwest City since 1954. He was an Air Force SSgt serving in WWII. After the war, he went to work at Tinker, where he was a flight mechanic supervisor. Herman retired from Tinker but continued to work at places like International Fitness Club; Mar-Car Racing; and as the custodian at the church he attended, Meadowood Baptist in Midwest City. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Billy Troutman; son, Ricky DeRousse; and grandson, Michael Widener. He is survived by Vivian, his wife of 40 years; sons: Mark Troutman and wife Ladonna, of Amarillo; Paul DeRousse and wife Cathy, of Shreveport; and Kerry DeRousse and wife Renee, of MWC; daughters: Cheryl Widener, of Stillwater; and Joye Vanzandt and husband Jeff, of Choctaw; brother, Paul Troutman and wife Venora, of Killeen; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; "granddog," Sophie; and many other relatives and friends. Herman's family will be available to greet friends at Paylor funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, October 1, 2013, at Meadowood Baptist Church, with burial following at the Arlington Memory Gardens.
