Sept. 5, 1994 - Feb. 18, 2014 OKLAHOMA CITY Connor Lee "Bubba" Hamilton was born September 5, 1994 in Oklahoma City, OK the son of Jason Forrest and Julie Diane (Akin) Hamilton. He went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at the age of 19. Bubba graduated from Putnam City North High School in 2013 where he was a member of the Panthers football team. He was attending the University of Oklahoma where he had just been initiated into Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity. He was a leader and served others through many organizations including Viking Buddies, Panther Pals and the Youth Ministry at Cherokee Hills Baptist Church. Bubba exuded joy everywhere he went and was considered a best friend by everyone who knew him. Bubba will be greatly missed by many. While he is no longer with us, he is not gone. For we rest in the knowledge that as a believer in Jesus Christ he has been received into the loving presence of our Lord. We will carry Bubba's love and joy in our hearts forever. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Jerry D. Akin, Sr. and his uncle, Rich Akin. He is survived by his parents Jason and Julie Hamilton; his sister, April Hamilton; his grandparents, Robert F. and Mary L. Hamilton of Kimberling City, MO, Georgia and Ray Taylor of Edmond, OK and Jeanne Akin of Oklahoma City as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Friday in Vondel Smith Mortuary North, 13125 N. MacArthur Blvd. Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 22, 2014, in Crossings Community Church, 14600 N. Portland Ave. Interment will follow in the Bethany Cemetery.
