Peoples Aug 22, 1940 - April 3, 2014 OKLAHOMA CITY Phyllis, 73, was called to her heavenly home April 3, 2014. She was born Aug. 22, 1940, in OKC to Clarence & Cleon Kilmer. A lifetime resident of OKC, Phyllis was a member of the Shields Baptist Church, Magna Carta Dames & Barons (Registrar & Historian), Colonial Dames, Daughters of America Revolution, and the Eastern Star. She thoroughly enjoyed genealogy; sewing; making crafts; but above all, spending time with her family and caring for her parents. She was a loving wife, devoted mother and doting grandmother, who will be deeply missed by all. Preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Wandel Juaire; she is survived by her husband, Kinneth, of the home; five daughters, Vivian Richards, Jeanette Hatcher, Deborah Sanderson, Donna M. Robinson, and Joann Moore; stepsons, Kenneth Wayne Peoples and Shawn James Peoples; brother, Gene Kilmer; sister, Loretta Keely; 28 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; great-aunt, Delora Bass; and countless other loving family and friends. Viewing will be 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at Vondel Smith Mortuary S. Western. Services to celebrate her life will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 9, 2014, at the South Colonial Chapel.
