September 18, 1962 - July 13, 2014 OKLAHOMA CITY Brenda Kay Hayes, 51, died July 13, 2014 in OKC. She was born September 18, 1962 in OKC to Bobby and Imogene (Hickey) Grigsby. She worked in customer service for Awards Etc. and was also a caregiver. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Kenneth and Timothy; sister, Tammy; nephew, Josh; and special friend, Sheri Gee. Survivors include her husband, Earl; children, Jeff Hayes and wife Faith of Rush Springs, Tami Hayes of the home; brothers, Bobby Grigsby, Jr. and wife Brenda of OKC, Jerry Grigsby and wife Karen of Mustang, Donnie Grigsby and wife Edde of Newcastle; sisters, Terry Grigsby and Jeni Grigsby, of the home; nephews, Jason and Logan Grigsby, Taylor Otley; nieces, Kimberly Palmer and husband Joey, Tara, Carla and Hannah Grigsby; great-nieces, Kamden and Paytyn Grigsby, Savannah Otley; great-nephews, Tanner and Landon Redman, Alex Palmer-Huggins, Dylan Grigsby; mother-in-law, Norma Hayes; sisters-in-law, Lynn Hayes, Tanya Cornelison, Carla Vance; best friends and Sunday School teachers, Diana Jones and husband Billy. Special thanks to Uncle Kenneth and Aunt Betty for always being there. Brenda enjoyed becoming mother-in-law to Faith and her new family, Larry and Faith Evans. She loved her church, The Crown Center, and all her friends and family there. She loved taking care of kids, being "Aunt Brenda" to them all. Viewing will be Tuesday, 10am-9pm, with family present from 6-9pm at Mercer-Adams. Services will be Saturday, July 19, 2:00pm at The Crown Center, 13300 S. Western Ave., OKC.
