June 24, 1937 - Aug 14, 2014 YUKON Edward Maker, 77, of Yukon, went to his Heavenly home on Aug. 14, 2014. He was surrounded by his family and was ready to be with Jesus. He was born to Jessie Jane Cantrell Maker on June 24, 1937. He was married 53 years to his best friend, LaWanna Tompkins Maker. Together, they have daughters, Rhonda Garver and husband Darrell and Lori Mathena and husband David; and a son, Rick Maker. They have four grandchildren, Lindsie Guthrie and husband Scott, Justin Garver, Kayla Garver, and Laci Pasch. Ed graduated from Edmond Memorial High School and also attended OBU. He pastored many churches in Oklahoma and was a master interior carpenter for many years. A sports enthusiast, he was a Sooner born and bred. He loved to travel, golf and enjoyed photography. He loved music and was gifted with an amazing voice. He was a wonderful and hilarious man. He will be missed til we join him in Heaven. A memorial service will be held at Memorial Park Historic Cemetery Chapel in Oklahoma City on Aug. 27, 2014, at 2 p.m. with a reception to follow.
