Shawn Harrell Obituary
Shawn Edward Harrell peacefully went to his Lord on March 14, 2009. The heroic and courageous perseverance he waged for life was truly inspirational, as was the devotion of boundless love and support by family, friends, associates and all that were fortunate to be touched by him. The celebration and rejoicing of Shawn's life is Lori (his wife and true companion), Madelyn Grace (daughter, "Dooba," "Sissy") and Blake Edward (son, "Goog," "Little Guy") - the true joys of his life. Christopher (little brother and best friend), Amy (sister-in-love), and their children Hannah, Payton, and Woods, loved and adored brother and Uncle Shawn. Shawn was a God- sent blessing to Kenneth and Terry Harrell on June 24, 1970. Survived by Grandparents, Moyna "Nana" Woods, Grandma Bonnie and Carl Skrapka In-laws, Leon and Carol Eldridge, Jerry Adams and numerous loving aunts, uncles, cousins. Special thanks to all friends (especially the Angels at Mercy), but mostly to his best buddies, Mike Lauderdale, Brad Donnell, and Brad Hawley. Shawn was graduated from Putnam City North in 1988, received a B.A. in Communications from Southern Methodist University in 1992, and received his J.D from the University Oklahoma School of Law in 1995. Shawn began his career as a trial litigator at the firm of Robert Alexander from 1995 - 1998, from 1998 - 2000 at Looney Nichols, and from 2000 to 2009 at McAfee & Taft as partner. Shawn was a beloved son, grandson, brother, husband, daddy, uncle, and friend. His capacity for love, understanding, kindness, and compassion was endless and contagious.
