Billy "Bill" Ray Bowling, aka BOZO, 76, went to be with his Lord and Savior on February 20, 2010 after a long and very courageous battle with cancer. He was born on March 5, 1933 to Bertie Lou Letcher Bowling and Walter Thomas Bowling Jr., in OKC, OK. He married Mae Morgan on October 11, 1952 in OKC and had three children: Ronald Ray Bowling, Billy Don Bowling and Lori Mae Bowling. His love and passion for truck driving started at the age of 16 with Ozmun Co. for 13 years. He then worked for Scrivner Inc. for 31 years and Fleming for 3 years, retiring in 1997. After a brief retirement, Bill continued his life's love of driving a truck for Crutcho Creek Sod Farm until the day before he passed away. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Mae Bowling; son, Ronald Bowling, and wife, Patricia; son, Billy Bowling, and wife, Tama; and daughter, Lori Howry, and husband, John; foster son, Mike Madden; ten grandkids and 4 great-grandkids and one on the way. Services to celebrate his life will be 10:00 AM, Wednesday, February 24, 2010, at the South Colonial Chapel.
