William Bumpus Obituary
William Scott Bumpus went to be with Jesus on February 21, 2010. He was born in Oklahoma City, OK on November 10, 1994, to Lisa Peters Bumpus and Gregory Lee Bumpus. Will was active in his youth group at Bethany First Church of the Nazarene and was a dedicated Christian. He was a freshman at Putnam City West High School and was active in orchestra and Silver Strings. He enjoyed his first year on the wrestling team. He was an avid reader and an excellent student. In 7th and 8th grades, he played violin in the Young Artists Orchestra of Oklahoma. Will befriended people of all ages. He was affectionate and loyal to his family and friends. He lived life exuberantly. Will will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. He will be in our hearts forever. Will is survived by his mother, Lisa Peters Bumpus, his brother, Benjamin, and his father, Gregory Lee Bumpus. He is also survived by his maternal grandparents, Scott and Mary Lynn Peters, and his paternal grandparents, John and Eva Bumpus and his much-loved aunts, uncles and cousins. Funeral services will be at Bethany First Church of the Nazarene at 1:00pm on Friday, February 26, with burial at Bethany Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday, February 25 from 6:00 to 8:00pm at Mercer Adams, Bethany, OK.
