Carolyn D. Regan (nee Grout), wife of the late Daniel Regan of Carmel, New York, died Wednesday, May 19, 2010, at the age of 73. She was born in Oklahoma City, OK, daughter of the late Duane and Marie (Kennedy) Grout. She attended John Carroll Parochial School, Catholic High (McGuinness) and St. Mary's College, Leavenworth, KS. May 17, 1980, she married Daniel Regan in Oklahoma City. They soon relocated to Carmel, New York, where she lived for 20 yrs. Carolyn was an RN in Oklahoma City and at St. Vincent's Hospital in Harrison before retiring. She was preceded in death by her two sisters, Mary Beltz and Dolores Miller. She is survived by two sisters: Catherine Turpin of Oklahoma City and Barbara Martin of Menomonee Falls, WI; two sisters-in-law: Kathleen Regan of Yonkers, NY and Sr. Claire E. Regan of NY, NY; a brother-in-law, James Regan of NY, NY; and 15 nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph's Church in Croton Falls, NY on Monday, May 24, 2010, at 10 AM. Interment will be private. Friends may call at the Beecher Funeral home, 1 Putnam Avenue, Brewster, NY, on Sunday from 2-5 PM. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the Sisters of Charity of NY, 6301 Riverdale Ave., Bronx, NY 10471.
