Lois Lewanna (Lee) Huffman went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, September 8, 2010, at Mercy Hospital. She was born in Fisher, Louisiana, on June 15, 1925 to Joseph and Nancy Phelps. Lee worked in an arms manufacturing plant during the years of World War II. She married Robert Olan Huffman in February, 1945. She dedicated her life to being a homemaker, wife and Mother. Lee moved with her husband to many towns in Texas, Arkansas and Oklahoma because of his work. She was a devout Baptist and attended Rockwood Baptist Church and then Capitol Hill Baptist Church while living in Oklahoma City. She had many hobbies, including sewing, crocheting, cooking, and growing beautiful flowers. Most of all, Lee was a person who loved taking care of her family and serving others. She enjoyed her Sunday School class, as friends and God had given her the ministry of helping others in times of illness and times of need. She loved people and was a friend to many throughout her life. She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert. Lee is survived by sons: Larry and wife Susan and David and wife Anita, of Oklahoma City; and daughter, Barbara Chatham of Fort Smith, Arkansas; three grandchildren: Holly, Amanda and Brian and his wife Emily; two great-grandchildren, Genevieve and Lauret; sisters, Laverne Williams, Mary King, Libby Webb; and brother, Joe E. Phelps. Visitation will begin on Sunday, September 12, 2010, at Resthaven Funeral Home. Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, September 13, 2010, at the Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel, with burial following in Resthaven Memory Gardens.
