Willie Roberts Obituary
Willie D. Roberts, age 61, resident of Shawnee, passed away Monday, October 18, 2010, at his home. Service Thursday, October 21, 2010, 10:00 A.M., Immanuel Baptist Church, Shawnee, Dr. Todd Fisher, Rev. Mark Wright, Chaplain Jim McCool officiating. Burial at Calvary Cemetery. Arrangements by Walker Funeral Service. His casket will be open at the church from 9:00 A.M. to 10:00 A.M. and will not be open after the services. He was born August 25, 1949 at Valliant, Oklahoma, to Willie and Housten (Province) Roberts. Graduated from Choctaw High School and received his Master's in Business from Central State University in Edmond. He served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam. He was married to Sharon Kidwell, and was a Contract Negotiator for the U.S. Government. He was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church and D.A.V. Survived by: wife, Sharon, of the home; 2 sons: Cory & wife Amy Roberts of Dale, and Casey & wife Cammie Roberts of Chandler; 3 daughters: Kristy Trent of Piedmont, Jenny Mashore-Jones, Becky Edwards of Clarksville, Tenn.; 12 grandchildren: Logan & Connor Roberts; Mariah Melton & Lacey Conley; Karson, Kenly, Maddox and Maverick Trent; Hannah & Carter Boydston; Ellie & C.J. Edwards; parents, Willie & Housten Roberts of Shawnee;father-in-law & mother-in-law, Mike & Lorene Kidwell; brother, Dennis & Linda Roberts of Shawnee; sister, Carolyn & Vernon Hawthorne of Shawnee; sister-in-law & brother-in-law, Trish & Duane Miller of Edmond; 5 nieces & nephews.
