Mildred Elizabeth Turner, 79, passed away Apr. 3, 2011 in OKC. She was born Mar. 14, 1932 in Monessen, PA to Steve and Elizabeth Gombos. Mildred was a member of St. Benedict Orthodox Church in OKC. She was an advocate in the Pro-Life Movement. She married Edgar Everett Turner Aug. 8, 1959 in Garfield, NJ. Mildred is survived by her 2 children: Daughter, Elaine Martin & her husband Herb of Duvall, WA; her Son, Joseph Turner and his wife Olga of Moore, OK; her 13-yr-old Grandson, Matthew Martin; and 1 Brother, Ed Gombos of Chicago, IL. Mildred is preceded in death by her husband of 46 yrs., Edgar; her parents; and 6 siblings, Michael Gombos, Anna Gombos, Mary Buck, Helen Kovalycsik, Rose Tylutki, and Steve Gombos. Pannikhida Service will be held 8PM, Wed., Apr. 6, 2011; Funeral Service will be 11AM, Thurs., Apr. 7, 2011; both services will be held at St. Benedict's Orthodox Church, 3900 Jones Blvd., OKC. Interment will be held at Sunny Lane Cemetery. Services are under the direction of John Ireland Funeral Home.
