James Richard Kirkpatrick, Jr., 60, passed away on April 25, 2011 at his home in Queen Creek, AZ. He was born May 20, 1950 in Tulsa, OK to James Richard Sr. & Dolores Kirkpatrick, who preceded him in death. He was also preceded by a younger brother, Michael. He is survived by his sister, Kathleen Denham of Edmond. His family moved to Oklahoma City in 1966 where he attended John Marshall High School and graduated from UCO in 1981. Jim served in the US Army from 1969 to 1977 including 2 tours in Vietnam. Jim is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Janice; and their daughters: Tiffany Scott, and Kristy Geiler & husband, Kal, of Phoenix, AZ, Jamie Williams & husband, Chase and Natalie Kirkpatrick, of Oklahoma City, OK. The joy of his life were his grandchildren: Logan and Meagan Geiler, and Jacob Scott, all of Phoenix, AZ; Caylan Williams and Trey Leep, of Oklahoma City, OK. He is also survived by daughter, Melisa Reiswig; and son, Richard Sanders. Jim was a proud "Friend of Bill W" for over 20 years, trying to live The "Three Legacies" of Recovery, Unity & Service. Services held 10:00 AM, Mon., May 2, 2011, at South Lakes Chapel, with burial following at Resthaven Cemetery.
