October 11, 1953 - July 16, 2011 BETHANY Bethany resident, Billie (Bill) Neil Green, Jr., 57, went with Jesus to his eternal home on July 16, 2011 in Oklahoma City, OK after a 7-month battle with pancreatic cancer. Bill was born at Forbes Air Force Base Hospital in Topeka, KS on October 11, 1953 to his loving parents, Bill and Addie Belle Green. Bill, as a boy and young man, was described as a happy, loving trickster that loved life. He was looked up to by his little sister Susan, who remembers him as someone that always wanted her around and never fought with her. He attended Putnam City West High School, and he had such a sweet spirit that people seemed to gravitate toward him. In high school he was described by some to be quite the "Ladies Man." He soon came to realize that there was only one lady for him. It was at that time that he met the love of his life, Pamela K. (Noble) Green. They enjoyed 38 years together as man and wife. During that time they brought their beloved daughter into this world, Paige K. (Green) Mercer. She was and is the center of their lives. Paige and her husband Michael have four wonderful children that were cherished by their Papa (Grace, Tristan, Madeline and Patrick). Bill is remembered by all as loving, thoughtful, caring and loyal and will be missed by all that had the privilege of knowing him. Bill is survived by his wife, Pamela Green; mother, Addie Belle Green of Perry, OK; daughter, Paige Mercer; son-in-law, Michael Mercer; grandchildren, Grace, Tristan, Madeline, Patrick of Savannah, TX; sister and brother-in-law, Susan and Dean Waren of Perry, OK; nephews and families, Rocky and Carly Waren (Olivia, Delaney, Tru) of Perry, OK; Ray and LeEllen Waren (Cash, A.J., Trace) of Perry, OK; mothers-in-law, Mary Jo Noble and Polly Noble of Bethany and Oklahoma City, OK. He is also survived by numerous other relatives and friends. Bill was preceded in death by his father, Bill Green, Sr.; and both his maternal and paternal grandparents; and by his niece, Mindy Waren. Viewing will be from 9am-9pm, Tuesday, July 19, 2011, with the family present from 6-8pm, at Mercer-Adams. Funeral Service will be held at 2pm, Wednesday, July 20, 2011, at Trinity Church of the Nazarene (I-240 & Walker). Bill's family would like donations sent to the Purple Stride Race that his daughter is running in, in lieu of flowers. This race raises funds for research and early detection of this horrible disease (See http://tinyurl.com/642kzpu).
