Pulley Jan 11, 1933 - Sept 11, 2011 OKLAHOMA CITY "Survivors Of Suicide" founder in Oklahoma City, William H. "Bill" Pulley, died Sunday at the age of 78 from complications of stroke. In response to the depression-linked suicide of his wife, Darlene, Pulley founded the S.O.S. Support Group twenty-five years ago that continues to meet on the fourth Tuesday of each month from 7-9 p.m. at All Souls' Episcopal Church in Oklahoma City. For the past 25 years, Bill has been the S.O.S. contact for many in Oklahoma City who have suffered the suicide loss of a loved one.Pulley was preceded in death by his wife of 32 years, Darlene, in 1985. He is survived by their two children: Marc Alan Pulley of Clearwater, Florida; and Sandra Lynn Pulley of Carrollton, Texas; and by his second wife of nearly 21 years, Linda Louise Loy Wullenwaber Pulley, of Oklahoma City.Pulley retired in 1987 from a long career in the family business of banking. He also worked as a stock broker, actor and advertising model. Post retirement, he returned part-time to his first true career love, the funeral business.In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to Hospice of Oklahoma County, All Souls' Episcopal Church, or The Suicide and Crisis Center of North Texas.Following cremation by the Cremation Society of Oklahoma, a memorial service will be on Tuesday, September 20th, at 4 p.m., in the Chapel of All Souls' Episcopal Church.
