VanCuren October 2, 1953 - October 22, 2011 OKLAHOMA CITY Cynthia Gale VanCuren, 58, a lifelong resident of OKC, passed away October 22, 2011. She was born October 2, 1953 in OKC to Betty & Manuel Garcia. She leaves behind her husband, Gary of 40 years; their children & their spouses, Gary Wayne & Luly, Dustin & Lindsay, Crystal & Daniel Flynn, Brian & Astarsha; grandchildren, Dee, Trey, Darren, Jadin, Maliah, Cloe, Esme, & Londyn; two sisters, Gloria & Gary Bastin, and Pamela & Terry Cook; also a host of family & friends. Cynthia was a wonderful Christian mother, wife, sister, and grandmother, whose love knew no bounds. She worked for Southwest Medical Center for 31 years. She attended Crooked Oak Schools for 13 years. She was a great cook, loved to work the concessions stand, play Bunkos, camp, fish, watch OU & Crooked Oak football, enjoyed sewing as a member of O.K.S.M.A, and enjoyed everything involving the HOPE Group. Thanks to the Quality Care Hospice Group for their care of her and kindness to her family. She will be greatly missed. Services will be held in Candlewood Chapel at 10 a.m., Thursday, October 27, 2011, at Ford Funeral Home in Midwest City.
