Nov 15, 1942 - Sept 17, 2012 BOISE, ID David Alan Hodson, 69, died Monday, Sept. 17, 2012, at his home in Boise, ID. David was a former resident of Oklahoma City. He graduated from John Marshal High School and from the University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond. Members of his family include: son, David Alan, his wife Sharon and their children, of San Antonio, TX; daughter, Annie, her husband James and their children, of San Antonio, TX; daughter, Dawn, her fiancee Matt and her daughters, of Doyle, CA; son, Damian, his companion Alicia and their daughter, of Westland, MI; sister, Judith Koogle and husband Herb, of Albuquerque, NM; niece, Amy Adams; nephew, Gregory Koogle; and many cousins. David was preceded in death by his father, Glen J. Hodson, in 1992; and his mother, Doris G. Hodson, in 1995. He was in the Air Force in the early 1960s and began his career after that as a member of the Peace Corps. He recently retired from the Federal Civil Service after 35 years as an educational Advisor with the Dept. of the Army that awarded him the Distinguished Service Award. He counseled and guided many young soldiers in obtaining their high school and college degrees. David had a quick smile and a witty sense of humor; he loved to travel and enjoyed all parts of the world. Most importantly, he enjoyed making people laugh with his crazy jokes. He will be deeply missed. Services for our beloved David will be Friday, Oct. 19th at 11 a.m. at Memorial Park Cemetery.
