Feb 19, 1924 - Nov 1, 2012 CHOCTAW Carthel C.J. Miller was born February 19, 1924, in Mount Vernon, TX to parents, Clyde A. & Jewel Parlee (Jagger) Miller, and passed from this life on November 1, 2012. Carthel was an OKC Firefighter for over 29 years and retired as Assistant Chief in 1975. He was very involved in the Choctaw Church of Christ and served as a deacon. He loved to fish, even when his legs were hurting. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Phillip; and brother, Tom. He is survived by his beloved wife, Retha; son, Tony Miller & wife Connie; daughter, Susan Miller; granddaughters, Leann, and Mandy & husband Mike; great-granddaughters, Claire and Harper; sisters, Martha and Eva Sue; brother, Norman; and many other family members and friends. Viewing will be at Memorial Park Funeral Home, Monday, 9 am. to 8 p.m. A graveside will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, November 6 at Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Firefighters Association, Choctaw Church of Christ, or the .
