Dec. 21, 1938 - Nov. 13, 2012 OKLAHOMA CITY James Wiley Kirk entered the world on December 21, 1938 and left this world to live with his heavenly Father on November 13, 2012. He was born in McAlester, Oklahoma to Wiley and Georgia Kirk, one of five children. Jim served in the US Air Force overseas for 4 years and entered the University of Oklahoma on his return to Oklahoma where he earned his Master of Engineering degree. He worked for General Electric and retired from 30 years of service with FAA in 1995. He continued working as a consultant for FAA when he wasn't traveling. Jim married Ardyce in 1979 and was a loving husband, father, and grandfather for 33 years. Jim and Ardyce joined their 5 children, Lisa Renee Kirk, Michael Kirk and wife Linda, Stephen Kirk, Chuck Page and wife Cheryl, Randy Page and wife Becky. He is survived by his immediate family including 5 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, brother, Jessie Taylor and wife Elsbeth, sisters, Vera Wilson, Janie Little and Wanda Doctorman, nephews, and cousins. Jim joined First Baptist Church of Oklahoma City in 1979. He was a member of The Chapel Department and First Family Singers. Jim enjoyed life. His many hobbies include Square Dancing, Round Dancing, Singing in the choir and playing bridge and all forms of card games. Jim will be truly missed by family and friends. He was a bright and shining star in all our lives. Visitation will be Thursday, November 15, 2012 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at Resthaven Funeral Home. Funeral ceremony will be held on Friday, November 16, 2012 at 10:00 am in the Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow in the Resthaven Memory Gardens.
