June 6, 1933 - Jan 12, 2013 MOORE James H. Stanfill, LTC, RET, 79, of Moore, OK, went to be with his Lord and Savior on January 12, 2013. He was born June 6, 1933, to Leo & Mary Etta Stanfill in Calvin, OK. He graduated from Calvin High School and joined the U.S. Army, where he served as a NCO and an Officer. Jim served two tours in Vietnam with the 5th Special Forces Group and was awarded the prestigious Bronze Star and the Combat Infantrymen Badge. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Mary Etta; brother, Jerry; and sister, Valenta McDonald; and is survived by his beloved wife of 37 years, Diana; sons: Rodney Carpenter and wife Paula, of Texas; James and wife Teresa, of OKC; Christofer and wife Tonya, of Ohio; Paul and wife Kristen, of Texas; and Pepper Snider and wife Heather, of Texas; his daughter, Sarah Kidd and husband Kevin, of Moore; brothers: Charlie, of Choctaw; and Kenny, of Del City. Jim was blessed with 17 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and his loyal Yorkie companion, Rowdy. Services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 16, 2013, at Fresh Start Community Church, 309 N. Eastern Ave., Moore, OK, with Military Honors to follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Veterans Corner, P.O.
