Obituary Condolences

Aug. 13, 1931 - Feb. 16, 2013 OKLAHOMA CITY Lethia Leola Cook Slack, of Oklahoma City, born Aug. 13, 1931 to Walter and Ruth Cook in Ashland, KS and departed for Heaven on Feb. 16, 2013. She graduated from high school in Buffalo, OK, and then attended Draughn Business College in Oklahoma City. She worked for Modern Distributors, Green Meadow Realty, and briefly, as a teacher's recess aid in Putnam City Schools. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Don Slack; brothers, Don Cook and wife Cathey of San Angelo, TX, W.G Cook of Newton, KS, Casey Cook and wife Dolores of OK. City, and Jay Cook and wife Vickie of Peabody, KS; nephews, Robert Whitaker, Randy and Gary Sheffler, Brent Cook, Kelly Cook; nieces, Marsha Crabtree, Christy Hawkins, Shelly Mcinroe, DeeAnna Wingert, and Kayla Seamans; and several great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Betty Sheffler; and brother, Kenneth Cook. Lethia loved to read, spend time with her family, and she will be greatly missed. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m., Thur., Feb. 21, 2013 in the Yanda & Son Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Yukon Cemetery. Online condolences may be signed at www.yandafuneral.com
