LucasFebruary 11, 1962 - March 12, 2013 OKLAHOMA CITY Robert Wayne `Bob' Lucas left his Earthly home in Oklahoma City to be with his Lord and Savior on March 12, 2013. He was born February 11, 1962 to William Clarence Lucas, Jr. and Joyce Ann (Trimmer) Lucas, in Corpus Christi, TX., he was the youngest of three children born to these parents. His father being a member of the Navy, he received his education in many different states. He enlisted in the Army in 1979, attending Basic Training at Fort Leonard Wood, MO, tours of duty in Kileen, TX, Colorado Springs, CO and two tours in South Korea. He married Chong Yun Yi, the love of his life, on August 27, 1985 in South Korea. One beautiful daughter, Jessica Lee Lucas, was born of this union. Bob and Chong divorced in 2007 and he was briefly married to Dawn Clark, in Jeffersonville, IN. Upon separation from the Army, Bob worked as a truck driver, a Certified Nursing Assistant and his most recent employment was as an Armed Security Guard in Oklahoma City. He loved his daughter, Jessica, very much and was looking forward to building a mature relationship with her with intentions to devote his remaining lifetime, `making up' for his many past mistakes. His favorite pastime was watching Nascar racing on television, with Tony Stewart and Dale Earnhardt, his favorite drivers. He experienced his first live race with `his other Dad' Jim Stravlo, and a group of friends in Texas last year for his `Big 50th Birthday'. He also enjoyed cooking for groups, he was an excellent marksman, and enjoyed practicing with his weapon at the gun range. When he was not involved with these activities, you could usually find him watching movies both old and new. He was preceded in death by both his paternal and maternal grandparents, William Clarence and Nadine (Smith) Lucas, and Elvis Wilbern and Opal Fay (Reid) Trimmer, a brother, William Clarence Lucas, III and sister-in-law, Leona Mae (King) Lucas. He is survived by his father, William Clarence and Carol (Seaver) Lucas, Jr., of Cottonwood, AZ; his mother, Joyce Ann (Trimmer) and husband, Jim E. Stravlo, of Edmond, OK; his daughter, Jessica Lee Lucas, of Indianapolis, IN; his sister, Patty J. Summers, of Hot Springs, AR; sister and husband, Vicki and Warren Chapin, of Tulsa, OK; brother and wife, Pete and Peggy (McGivern) Stravlo, of Denver, CO; a niece Alice Sconyers and her two children, many aunts, uncles and cousins and his twelve week old Min-Pin puppy, who stayed faithfully by his side after he departed this ole world. Pastor Wally Weaver, Henderson Hills Baptist Church, will officiate at a graveside Memorial Service Saturday, April 06, 2013, at 11:00 a.m., at Chapel Hill Memorial Cemetery, 8701 Northwest Expressway, Oklahoma City, OK, with burial to follow.
