June 11, 1937 - April 20, 2013 OKLAHOMA CITY John Francis Jordan, 75, born in Huntington, West Virginia, on June 11, 1937, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on April 20, 2013. His love for sports evolved at an early age, which led him into boxing. In 1954 he became the Light Feather Weight Champion and was awarded the Golden Gloves. In 1955 he met his soul mate and love of his life, Jean A. Estep, and in 1956 they were married. John enlisted in the United States Marine Corps at the age of 17, and four years later enlisted in the United States Air Force where he proudly served and defended our country for the next 20 years. During that time, he did one tour of duty in Korea and two tours in Vietnam, and was awarded the Purple Heart. Over his life time he was blessed with four children, Connie Drinkard, John D. Jordan, Brenda Macias and Kathern Pizarro; 14 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 27, 2013, at the Bill Eisenhour Southeast Chapel.
