Morgan June 5, 1920 - July 19, 2013 OKLAHOMA CITY At the age of 93, Mother - Mama Betty - Mema was scooped up in God's arms on Friday, July 19, 2013, and taken to a much better place. Betty was born on June 5, 1920 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Charles and Lillian Carroll Snyder. She married the love of her life, Thomas Morgan, on January 1, 1938. They spent the next 62 years together. Together they raised their 5 children, Thomas Jr., Mike, Carl, Kathy and Patty. She spent her time caring for her family and also cared for many other children as if they were her very own. After her children were raised she went to nursing school, graduated at the top of her class, and spent the next 35 years working in the newborn nursery at St. Anthony Hospital. She then retired and spent time traveling with her husband. She enjoyed her dogs, art and crafts, sewing, painting and doll collecting. She loved to hold newborn babies. Betty loved her family whole heartedly. She will forever be remembered as a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother and friend. She was preceded in death by her husband Thomas Morgan Sr., son Thomas Morgan Jr., daughter Kathy Hunt, grandsons Richard Morgan Sr., and Steve Morgan, great grandson Jesse Morgan and niece Linda Kay Chandler. She is survived by her son Michael Morgan and wife Nelva, son Carl Morgan, daughter Patty Hunt, daughter-in-law Mariellen Morgan, sister-in-law June Dunn, 21 grandchildren, 45 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren. She was loved by all and will be greatly missed. Services will be at Westside Christian Church, 10145 NW Expressway, OKC, OK, on July 25th, at 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to OMRF.
