Goldsmith Nov 25, 1925 - Aug 22, 2013 OKLAHOMA CITY Craig was born Nov. 25, 1925, in Chicago, IL to Frederic Carr and Clarice Craig Goldsmith. He died on Aug. 22, 2013, of complications of Alzheimer's disease. At the age of 18, he joined the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. He trained as a bombardier on B17s and B25s. He was honorably discharged in 1946 at the rank of 2nd Lt. He attended OU on a GI Bill and graduated in 1950 with a degree in civil engineering. He married Edith Marie Brown on Nov. 3, 1951, in Tulsa, OK. They had three children, Charles, Steven, and Jane. Craig was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife of nearly 62 years; his children; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; his brother and sister-in-law, Linn and Susan Goldsmith, of Hennepin, IL; and numerous nieces and nephews. Viewing will be at Vondel Smith Mortuary S. Lakes, 12-8 p.m. Sunday and 4-8 p.m. Monday, with the family receiving friends 5-6:30 p.m. Sunday. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 27, 2013, at the South Lakes Chapel, with burial following at 2:30 p.m. at Hoyt Cemetery in Hoyt, OK.
