Feb 11, 1926 - Dec 12, 2013 MOORE Jack Donald Birdsong, age 87, of Moore, Oklahoma, passed away December 12, 2013. He was born February 11, 1926, in Dallas, Texas, to Everett & Gladys Birdsong. He married Glenna Hildebrand on June 6, 1964, in Denton, Texas. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Moore. Jack enjoyed golfing and traveling. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force during WWII. Jack is survived by his wife of 49 years, Glenna, of the home; children, Rebecca Williams, Jacklyn Youell, Debra Harsh, Sandina Foster, and Michael Birdsong; one brother, Kenneth Birdsong; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Everett Jr. and Gayle Birdsong. Funeral Services will be held 11 a.m. on Friday, December 20, 2013, in the chapel of the John M. Ireland Funeral Home in Moore. Interment will be at 2 p.m. at Memorial Park Cemetery. The family suggests, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to: Veteran's Corner, P.O. Box 704, Washington, OK 73093. Services are under the direction of the John M. Ireland Funeral Home.
