May 15, 1926 - Dec 31, 2013 OKLAHOMA CITY Mary Ellen Roselle passed away on December 31, 2013, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She was born to Charles A. and C. Marie LeFebvre on May 15, 1926, outside of Mora, Minnesota, where she graduated as President and Valedictorian of her senior class. She attended the University of Minnesota but interrupted her studies during WWII to work in a defense plant in Hastings, Nebraska. It was there she meet her future husband, Virgil E. Roselle, a U.S. Marine recovering from injuries suffered in the Battle of Tarawa in the Pacific Theater. Married on Thanksgiving Day in 1945, they were together until Virgil passed away in 1984. Mary Ellen was an active parishioner at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church since 1958, where she was an enthusiastic member of the choir and for many years, a CCD teacher. Mary Ellen was a distinguished and honored employee of Mercy Health Center, where she worked for 47 years in various administrative positions. Mary Ellen is survived by all six of her children: Michael, Oklahoma City, & his wife, Elaine, and children; Charles, Snowmass Village, CO; Timothy, New York, NY; Dan, Boerne, TX, & his wife Katie, seven children and four grandchildren; Jerome, Fort Collins, CO, & his wife Darla and three children; and Cecilia Garrett, Laguna Vista, TX, & her husband Terence and two children. A rosary service will be held at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 3901 S.W. 29th St., OKC, OK 73119, on Thursday, January 9 at 7 p.m. The funeral service to celebrate Mary Ellen's life will be held Friday, January 10 at 10:30 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church, with burial following at Immaculate Conception Cemetery, where she will be interred beside her beloved husband. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Immaculate Conception Choir.
