Dec 16, 1948 - Jan 12, 2014 OKLAHOMA CITY Brady Gerald Parsons was born December 16, 1948, to Alma Brady Parsons and Gerald Avon Parsons. Brady entered into his eternal reward January 12. Brady married the love of his life, Bobbie Jean Hunter, on May 29, 1971. Brady was a loving son, husband, father, and PaPa. Brady started work as a barber in his father's barber shop as a young teenager. Before beginning work as a barber, he was the shoeshine boy. Brady continued to cut hair for over 50 years. Brady also worked as an epidemiologist for the state of Oklahoma. Brady put his faith and trust in Jesus Christ as a young person and grew up at Agnew Avenue Baptist Church. Brady & Bobbie raised their children at the Southern Hills Baptist Church, where they have been active members for over 40 years. Brady had a variety of interests, but his primary interest was the well-being of his family. Brady was preceded in death by his parents, Gerald & Alma Parsons; and an infant daughter, Brooke Elizabeth Parsons. He is survived by his wife, Bobbie Parsons, of the home; daughter, Amanda Isaacs and her husband Chad, of Carl Junction, MO; son, Brent Parsons and his wife Keely, of Oklahoma City; grandchildren, Blake and Ben Isaacs and Hunter and Hattie Parsons; brother, Randy Parsons and his wife Judy, of Edmond, OK; and sister-in-law, Suzanne Rains, of Cleburne, TX. Brady is also survived by many extended family members. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorials be given to Reaching Souls International, 12625 S Portland Ave, OKC, OK 73170. Viewing will be 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at Vondel Smith Mortuary S. Lakes. Graveside services will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, January 15, 2014, at Resthaven Memory Gardens, with memorial services following at 11 a.m. at Southern Hills Baptist Church, 8601 S. Penn.
