March 5, 1928 - March 11, 2014 OKLAHOMA CITY Lewis Earl Dillier, 86, passed away March 11, 2014. He was born on March 5, 1928 in Greenville, TX to Derwood and Anna Lee (Crawford) Dillier. During his life, Lewis served 2 years in the United States Marine Corps, was a mason, and served as Pass Master for the Myrtle Masonic Lodge. He also worked as a machinist for the FAA. Lewis was actively involved in his church, including choir and Bible study. Until he reached age 72, he went jogging every day. Lewis also enjoyed dancing, laughing, and watching any football game that was on-especially the Oklahoma Sooners. Lewis was a great father, had a great work ethic which he instilled in his children, and was a great caretaker for his wife in her last days. He loved his neighbors and although he was a frugal man, his generosity knew no limits when it came to family and close friends. Lewis was preceded in death by his parents, and his beloved wife of 53 years, Dorothy (Ward) Dillier. He is survived by his daughters, Janet Jones and husband Bill, and Ardie Dillier; grandchildren, Keri Jones-Diefenbach, and Stephanie Schatte; great grandchildren, Jordyn Diefenbach, Breana Diefenbach, Brandon Schatte, and Morgan Schatte; sister, Betty June Mantooth and husband Thad; brother- in-law, Errol Ward and wife Sue; and nieces and nephews, Ted Mantooth, Tim Mantooth, Patricia Mantooth, Mike Mantooth, Don Mantooth, Jerry Ward and wife Gina, Michelle Ward, Stacy Colvin and husband Dave, Michael Ward and wife Kristi. Visitation will be held Friday from 12-8pm at Resthaven Funeral Home.
