Clyde Copley, 87, passed away Sept. 21, 2012.
He retired as the principal of Bruce Middle School and was an assistant principal, teacher and basketball coach at Fairdale High School.
He started his career as an educator, serving as principal, coach and teacher of Warfield High School in Martin County.
He was also a U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Sarah; daughters, Karen (Gary) Stephenson, Becky (Kevin) Dant; son, Greg ( June) Copley; five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; sisters, Mable Dalton of Napa, Calf., Frances Maynard,
Charleston, W. Va,; brother, Glenn Copley, Warfield, Kentucky; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be 2 p.m., Saturday Sept. 29, 2012 at Pewee Valley Presbyterian Church.
