Applegate, Richard Allen "Dick"  
Richard Allen "Dick" Applegate, age 86 of LaGrange, passed away on Wednesday, June 8, 2016. He was a 57 year member of La Grange Christian Church, Fortitude Lodge #47 F&AM, Rob Morris Chapter #114 Order of Eastern Star, Kentucky Colonel, former member of Kiwanis Club and La Grange City Council. Preceding him in death was his first wife, Martha Elizabeth Peters Applegate; his daugher, Patricia Osbourne; and his sister, Margaret Stokes. Survivors include his wife, Marjorie Pollard Morgan Applegate; children: Richard David Applegate (Janet), Wayne Morgan (Carol), Elizabeth Anne Applegate (Alice Dilbeck), Kathleen Lutz (Werner), Dale Morgan (Ann), Margaret Lyn James (Jonathan) and Mary Ellen Kinser (Jim); grandchildren: Lance Morgan (Jenni), Jason Kinser, Jason McNamara, Sasha Osbourne, Tanya Lutz (Andy), Samantha Osbourne Chandler, Kristopher Morgan (Amber), John Michael Brockman (John), Anthony Morgan, Kurt Lutz (Dianne), Tiffany Morgan Emery (Jeff), Rachael Reavis (Willis), Hilary Morgan, Stephanie Brockman, Jeffrey Applegate (Casey), Justin Kinser (Jessica), Brian Brockman, Joshua James, Kelli James and Denise Applegate; 19 great-grandchilren; brothers: Donald Applegate and Sam Planck (Piroska); and sisters: Anna Lou McNeill, Jane Northup and Julia Prater (Jim). Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, June 12, 2016 at Heady-Radcliffe Funeral Home with burial in Valley of Rest Cemetery. Visitation was held from 3 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, June 11, with a Masonic Service at 7 p.m. Expressions of Sympathy may be made to La Grange Christian Church or Rob Morris Memorial Order of Eastern Star. Beard, Allen S.  
Allen S. Beard, age 68, loving husband to Geraldine Beedle Beard, passed away Saturday June 11, 2016 at the Golden Living Center. He was born to the late Alonza and Agnes Powell Beard in La Grange on January 3, 1948. He is also preceded in death by brothers, William and Marshall T. Beard. Allen was an Army veteran, serving in Vietnam as a combat soldier, and was a Master Drill Sergeant at Fort Knox training troops during Desert Shield Storm. A member of the American Legion Post and VFW Post in Frankfort, he was a Cincinnati Reds' fan, coached and umpired little league baseball in Oldham County, taught Sunday school at Crestwood Christian Church, and in his younger years played music in several local bands. Besides his wife of 21 years, he is survived by children, Tony Mock, Melissa Shanahan, Adam Beard (Allison), Aaron Beard (Gwen), Jamie Anderson (Brian), Jeremy Anderson (Kasey), Adam Anderson (Jessica), and Kayla Upchurch, along with 17 grandchildren, and siblings, Richard Beard (Ruth Ann), Bessie Klein (Jules), Mary Ann Hall (Don), Nancy McCarty, and several nieces and nephews. There will be a memorial service held Saturday, June 18, at 3 p.m. at Louisville Memorial Gardens Funeral Home East, 11601 Ballardsville Road. Visitation will be Saturday from 1 p.m. until time of service. In lieu of flowers the family request donations to the Disabled American Veterans, P. O. Chambers, Clarice "Sweetheart"  
Clarice Chambers, affectionately known as "Sweetheart", age 91 of La Grange, passed away on Sunday, June 12, 2016. She was a member of Covington Baptist Church, an Ordained Deacon, and director of Missions, WMU, YWCA and GA's. Clarice was a member of Rob Morris Chapter #114 Order of Eastern Star, a member of Oldham County Homemakers for 67 year and a Kentucky Colonel. During WWII she was an Ammunition Supervisor. She was Grand Marshall of River Daze and an Oldham County Living Treasure. Clarice was always volunteering for community service. Preceding her in death was her husband: Jim Chambers. Survivors include her daughter: Connie Byers (Eddie); grandchildren: Carrie Karlen (Chad), Crissy Young (Kip) and Carrie Ann Issacs (Ray); great grandchildren: Chase Karlen, Logan Young, Luke Young, Dakota Issacs, Blake Issacs; great-great grandchildren: Paisley Issacs and Aedyn Karlen; sister: Carolyn Ketterer. A funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, June 17, 2016, at Heady Radcliffe Funeral Home with burial to follow in Valley of Rest Cemetery. Cole, Mildred Louise (Burrows)  
Mildred Louise Burrows Cole, age 87 of Shelbyville, formerly of Oldham County, died Monday, June 7, 2016 at her home. She was the daughter of Jesse and Lottie Whiteley Burrows. She is survived by her sons, Dennis Cole and Ron Cole, both of Shelbyville; Gary Cole, Oldham County; daughters: Saundra Cole Ruedeman and Lottie Cole Mappin, both of Indiana; Linda Cole Wymer Diana Cole andJacqueline Cole Ham, all of Shelbyville; and Carolyn Snider, Lawrenceburg. Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Friday, June 10, 2016 at the Shannon Funeral Home. Visitation was held from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 9, at the funeral home. Burial was at Grove Hill Cemetery.

Huberty Sr., Randy R.  
Randy R. Huberty, Sr., age 59 of La Grange, passed away Thursday, June 16, 2016 at home. Randy retired as Regional Manager/Vice-President for Berkel & Company Contractors, Inc. after 32 years of employment. Randy was preceded in death by a son, Matthew Wayne Huberty in 2009 and parents, Wayne Huberty and Evelyn Nielsen. He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Shelley Huberty (Stuller); sons, Randy R. Huberty, Jr. and Andrew Joseph Huberty; a grandson, Zachary Huberty; brothers, Gary Huberty (Lana) and Greg Huberty (Susan); and a sister, Pam Greenhoe. Service was held at 11 a.m. on Monday, June 20, at Oldham County Funeral Home in La Grange with burial in Valley of Rest Cemetery. Visitation was held from 1 to 6 p.m. on Sunday. Memorials may be made to Hosparus.

Lausman, Marian (Carlin)  
Marian Carlin Lausman, age 96 of Shelbyville, passed away Saturday, June 11, 2016. She is survived by her daughters, Barbara Rea, Shelbyville and Mary Lou Douglas, La Grange. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at Shannon Funeral Home with Doug Kraft officiating. Visitation was held from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, June 13 at the funeral home. Burial was in Cave Hill Cemetery.

Ratliff, Kenneth Shane  
Kenneth Shane Ratliff, age 36, a native of Kentucky, was born in Louisville and died June 9, 2016. He attended Pewee Valley Jr. Academy and Oldham County High School. Shane's love of the great outdoors led him to work in the excavation and landscaping business. Shane was preceded in death by his father, Kenny Ratliff, and his brother Micah Ratliff. He is survived by his mother, Carolyn Ratliff; wife, Kimberly; son, Waylon; three daughters, Kelsey, Alexis and Jessica; nephews, Micah and Kullen Ratliff; niece, Micahaya Ratliff; and numerous cousins. White III, Thomas R. "Randy"  
Thomas "Randy" R. White, III, age 47 of Louisville, passed away Monday, June 13, 2016. He was a Navy veteran of the Gulf War and a Baptist. He is survived by his parents, Tom and Charlotte White of La Grange; sister Lisa Singleton (John) of Washington, North Carolina; grandmother, Edith White of Reidsville, North Carolina; several aunts and uncles and a niece and nephew, Amanda and Elliott Singleton.
