Imogene Anderson Garrett

Imogene Anderson Garrett, 85, of Orleans, Ind.,
passed away Sunday, August 4, 2013 at IU Health
Paoli Hospital in Paoli, Ind.
She was born June 22, 1928 on Patton's Creek, the
daughter of William Wallace and Gertrude Muriel
Powell Anderson. Imogene graduated from Liberty
High School in Oldham County, class of 1946. She
was married to Horace Gilbert Garrett, June 16,
1947 until his death on May 26, 1986.
She was a homemaker, a member of the Orleans
Christian Church, the Orleans American Legion
Auxiliary, the D.A.R. and the Orleans Lions Club.
She is survived by a son, David (Rita) Garrett, of
Sevierville, Tenn.; and three daughters all of Orleans,
Glenda Joyce (Kermit) Lamb, Leslie ( Jim) Padgett
and Melissa Garrett. There are 8 grandchildren
and 9 great grandchildren. 2 sisters survive, Glenna
Felch, of Versailles and Joyce (Harold) Magner, of
Shreveport, La.
Services were Wednesday, August 7 at the Ochs-
Tetrick Funeral Home in Orleans with Bro. Thomas
Bostic officiating. The body was buried at Fairview
Cemetery, Orleans, Ind.
Memorials may be made to the Orange County
Foundation for the Leonard and Janet Vaught
Orleans High School Scholarship Fund.
