Virginia (McWilliams) Stoess

Virginia McWilliams Stoess, 95, of Crestwood, died
Saturday, Nov. 10. 2012 at her home.

She was a member of Pewee Valley Presbyterian
Church, the Crestwood Civic Club, Oldham
County Historical Society, a former volunteer for the
Red Cross, Oldham County Homemakers and the
Crestwood PTA.

She was one of Oldham County Living Treasures
and until recently, was always present in the funeral
home to offer her condolences. She was famous for
her chocolate chip cookies, pecan pies and potato salad.
She will be missed by everyone who knew and loved
her.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Milton
Carl Stoess and her parents, Hardin and Susie
McWilliams.

She is survived by her son, Milt (Dianne) Stoess, Jr.;
two brothers, Robert H. McWilliams and James A.
(Judy) McWilliams; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services were held Wednesday, Nov. 14, at Stoess
Funeral Home with burial in Floydsburg Cemetery.
