Claude Joseph "Putney" Potts

The Guest Book is expired.

Claude "Putney" Joseph Potts, 69, of La Grange and Louisville, died at his Vantage Point Stables horse farm in Jeffersontown, surrounded by his companion, Katherine Fraze, and three of their beloved dogs, Buster, Goomer and Corky.

Joe was the brilliant, beautiful and loyal son of Jean M. Decker, who survives him, as do his nephews, Erv and Greg Gara; sons of his adored sister, the late Gilberta 'Gil' (Potts) Gara. Nephew, cousin, uncle, friend, neighbor and student-this was a well loved, admired, unfailingly unique man-a man who, while deeply missed, is now surrounded in God's love and light, watching over these who grieve the loss of his steady devotion.

In lieu of a funeral or flowers, the family requests that expressions of sympathy, remembrance and celebration be made to Joe's favorite non-profit animal rescue organization, Save That Dog Sanctuary, P.O. Box 24, Mount Saint Francis, Ind. 47146.
