Ethan Robert Empey, 12, of Frisco, Texas, passed
away Monday, Oct. 15, 2012. He was
born June 4, 2000, in Salt Lake City,
Utah to Kendall J. and Teri (Young)
Empey.

He was in the sixth grade at Griffin
Middle School in Frisco, Texas. He
excelled in academics and sports and
played football in the Frisco Football
League on the Patriots team. He trained
in taekwondo from NTA Taekwondo
Frisco and played the saxophone in his school's band.

He also participated in the Boy Scouts and achieved
a 1st class ranking. Last year, he participated in Pink
Elementary School's honor choir that performed in San
Antonio for the Texas Music Educators Association
event.

He is survived by his parents, Kendall and Teri
Empey, of Frisco; sisters, Erin, Lorin, Morgan and
Reagan Empey, of Frisco; brother, Brendan Empey,
of Frisco; grandparents, Robert and Gladys Young, of
Frisco, and Preston and Glena Empey, of Tooele, Utah;
nieces, Eve and Hannah Empey; several aunts, uncles,
cousins and many friends.

Services were held Oct. 19 at the Chuch of Jesus
Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Frisco, Texas, with interment
at Ridgeview Memorial Park in McKinney,
Texas. The funeral services were under the direction of
Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home. Online
