James William "Jimbo" Waits Jr., 60, of Crestwood, passed away at his residence, surrounded by family, Sunday, Sept. 9, 2012.
He was a former owner and operator of Hancock and Waits Chrysler and in auto sales for the Waits family for many years. He was a Methodist and coached little league baseball for 18 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James William Waits Sr. and Carolyn Rankin Waits; and his brother, Dale.
Survivors include his loving wife of 40 years, Sharon Gardner Waits; children, Jimmy (Valerie) Waits and Adrian Waits (Carl) Smithers; grandchildren, Jaden Smithers, Lilli Waits, Carson Smithers and Hadley Waits; brothers, Danny (Wendy) Waits and Todd (Nicole) Waits; sisters, Vicki Knight, Mona (Gary) Roberts, Beverly (Gary) Dykes and Terri (Randy) Hancock.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 13, 2012, at Heady-Radcliffe Funeral Home with burial to follow in Mt. Tabor Cemetery.
