Mr. Woodford E. Hatton, age 95, of La Grange, KY, returned to his Heavenly Father on Friday, March 23, 2018. Woodford was born in Owensville, Bath County Kentucky on September 6, 1922 to the late Eastwood Hatton and Lizzie Lee Shrout. He has served in many positions of responsibility in his Father's Kingdom and his favorite calling was performing weddings for time and all eternity to couples from all over the Kentucky area. Professionally he was the first Physical Therapist of the Baptist Hospital and served many years in the Baptist Hospital and in his own practice.
Woodford will be remembered as a devout husband, loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was a great example and teacher to many and a valiant servant of the Lord.
Among those who preceded him in death include, his wife, Lucille Henson Hatton, granddaughter, Christine Hatton; great- granddaughter, Ruby Gosnell; siblings, Ina Mae Hatton, Dawson Hatton, Arnold H Hatton, Edward Hatton, William J Hatton, Rachel Hatton, Ray Callis Hatton, Suda Grace Hatton, Madge Hatton, and Gudgell Hatton.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his children, Jennifer Rose Hatton Mussman (Robert), Larry Henson Hatton, Patricia Lee Gosnell (Michael), Thomas Eastwood Hatton (Julianne); 20 grandchildren; 39 great- grandchildren and a host of other dear family and friends.
Funeral services were held at 4:30 pm on Sunday, March 25, 2018 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (7116 State Hwy. 22, Crestwood, KY). Visitation was held on Sunday from 3 pm until 4 pm at the church. Burial was held at 10 am on Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at Louisville Memorial Gardens East.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter- day Saints Humanitarian Aid Fund.
Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home will be handling arrangements.
